Guelph Royals Revive Intercounty Prospects In Acton Season
The Guelph Royals reorganize under Mike Wallace and recruit young players from Acton and beyond, replacing aging pros to lift the Intercounty level. Three Acton players vie for Royals spots, including the Lawson brothers Pete and Paul and southpaw Bob Brattain, with local juniors like Dan Currie and Pete Lawson contributing. The league faces financial strain and lighting issues, while softball and other sports activities resume with a mix of veterans leaving and new entrants.
