Acton high school stars set four senior records and multiple marks at the Ontario district field day, finishing second to Georgetown with 297 points while Georgetown led with 267. Keith Ranney led in sprint dashes and 100- to 440-yard events. Rick Whyte and Allan Hall posted top marks in jumping and distance events. The meet closes with Acton heading to Guelph this Saturday for the C.W.C.S.S.A. championship.

50th Anniversary Fair Committees Named
The 50th Anniversary Fair committees are formed with Dirwcows of the Acton Agricus frater Sawdery leading the second meeting at the Community Centre. President Calvin Atken presided as Mrs. Swack Netter served as secretary. New subcommittees and sector heads were appointed for livestock, cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, horticulture, and prize exhibits as preparations begin for the fair.
