Roller Skating Program Planned Three Nights Weekly
The Sports Corner and recreation committee authorize a three night a week roller skating program at the community centre this spring and summer starting May 14. Skates will be rented with 75 to 100 pairs available, and a snack bar will operate. Tuesday Thursday and Saturday nights feature skating, with Saturday nights followed by a auditorium dance. Roller Patrols will accompany skaters to curb speed and rough housing, and shoe checks. Gate admission funds the recreation committee, with spectators paying. The snack bar will be repainted and opened for other events. Mr. Pearce notes high school students will be primary skaters and seeks music that slows pace to prevent accidents. A jukebox option or tapes are under consideration. Roller skating as a summer program has been discussed for years.

Where to Stop at Stop Signs Courtesy on the Road
When pulling up at a Stop sign halt a few feet short of the intersection if another car is already there. Do not level with the waiting driver or block the through highway view. Respect his priority and stay out of his line of vision until he moves safely. This courtesy is often overlooked.
