Plans for Halton museum expansion and centennial building
Major H J Newman, Halton county museum director, announced plans to expand with a centennial building to house large equipment at the southwest of the present site in Kelso Conservation Area. The project will add landscaped gardens, with openings in June for the craft house and upstairs barn area, and upcoming exhibits through September including Indian artifacts and school records from Omagh school dating to 1776.

Playground Leaders All to Go to Camp
The recreation committee plans training for 10 playground leaders at Bolton from June 20 to 24. Planting time is here for farmers and gardeners to weed out unwanted plants. The Canada Seeds Act requires proper grade labels on seed for crop, vegetable, and flower seeds. Mrs D Armstrong widow of Rockwood and former Rockwood Public School principal died after a long illness in Orillia hospital. Survived by her husband David Armstrong and sons Brad ford Alan Keith and Ross. Funeral at Doolittle Funeral Home and St Pauls United Church Orillia followed by burial in St James Cemetery. Also survived by her mother Mrs H Bradford of Toronto and three brothers.

Plan for Student Music Teachers Forum Meeting at Mrs Scull Home
The Student Music Teachers Forum held its monthly meeting at the home of honorary president Mrs B Scull in Georgetown. President Champion opened the session as minutes of the prior meeting were read and correspondence reviewed. Georgetown becomes a Trinity One school center and practical exams were held there in late April. Plans were made to receive examiner Harold Jones MCA FOBCLL of London. After varied discussions the meeting adjourned and hosts served tea.
