First United Church Jubilee Services Draw Large Congregations
The first United Church Jubilee services were held on Sunday with Rev. Dr. T. Albert Moore occupying the pulpit at the Old Home Church. Rev. J. Elvin Gamble participated in the evening service. A new pipe organ was installed with Mr. C Franklin Legge as organist and Mrs. Legge as soloist. An anniversary historical booklet was issued in connection with the event.

Acton pulled out another win over Brampton on Saturday taking ten innings to prevail 4-3. Leppar pitched for Acton fanning 14 and allowing four hits as the team tallied sixteen hits to Brampton’s four. Achievement Day Brings 100 Young Farmers To Milton Event
The annual judging competitions of the YWulton Junior Farmers and achievement day for Halton Girls Clothing and Nutrition Clubs were held in Milton and district on Saturday. Fifty-four young men and forty-nine young ladies participated, with livestock judging at farms in Trafalgar and Esquiem Townships and grain and seed judging at Milton High School. A demonstration team from eight clubs performed in the afternoon, followed by a social evening and prize presentations at the Town Hall.
