Golden Wedding Dinner in Acton Celebrates 50 Years
Mr. and Mrs. James Wilds marked their golden wedding with a July 27 dinner and reception at St Alban's parish hall attended by 451 guests from Palmerston to Acton. The couple, married in 1903 in Acton, were honored with gifts, songs, and games. they have three sons, five granddaughters, two grandsons and one great granddaughter.

New Water Supply In Operation Year
New Acton's water project began operation in July 1052 at the Main St North pumping station. In its first month nearly 500 000 gallons were pumped, rising to over two million gallons in April May and June, totaling 9 368 700 tons of water by year end. The system also draws from the original spring off Highway 25.
