Conservation Week marks pheasant release in Credit Valley
The Honourable George A. Kerr, Minister of Energy and Resources Management, opened Conservation Week in Credit Valley by releasing 20 baby pheasants at the Terra Cotta Conservation Area. Limehouse pilot finishes in derby
Barbara Brotherton of Limehouse, mother of two, completed the 23rd transcontinental powder at derby air race with Ruth Bliss of New Jersey. The three day event ran from San Diego to Dulles, with 92 all female entries and 9 finishing. Contestants headed for the Ninety Nines convention in New York. Brotherton’s sons attend Georgetown High.

Charges laid after crash injures two in Acton
Two people were injured in a collision on Elgin Street Acton on Saturday July 5. Edward John Scott of Acton suffered cuts and concussion while Sophie Scott had a bruised right arm and mild concussion. A juvenile owner of the other car faced charges. Damages were about 650 and 300 dollars respectively.
