A Guelph youth tried to drive through heavy snowdrifts at Ac ton race track Sunday evening. His car bogged down, the engine spun, wiring overheated and flames burst from the hood. Firefighters quelled the blaze. the car was embedded in snow and towed out to rejoin the road. Onlookers near park gates also struggled to move snow with their cars as a crowd aided the effort to free vehicles.
