Court of Revision Grants Reductions for 1962 Tax Appeals

In six days of sittings the five man Counts Court of Revision heard 78 appeals against the town's 1962 tax assessment. The court granted reductions to 48, confirmed 26 and increased three. One appeal was withdrawn. Total decrease was 73,957 bringing original assessment 7,059,606 down to 6,995,049. Chairman Alex Near led the session with members George Brown and others. Final reports will follow after final computations and notices are issued by registered mail to each applicant. Appeals remain subject to revision by the county judge.
