Acton to Unify Entry With Free Park Passes
Acton residents will enter Prospect Park on Sundays and holidays in summer without buying a season pass. The Parks Board lifted the $1 per season ticket charge and will issue free stickers instead. Over 100 Actonians bought the season passes annually. The plan to distribute stickers and the budget for lentea Park development were discussed, with centennial use of the park requested for July 9, 1967. Just Filed Away Hydro Abandons Plans For New Office
Ontario Hydro through its Hamilton office urged the local commission to reconsider the building program for a new office and workshop. The plan, cost estimated between 50 000 and 60 000 dollars, faced higher bids and was contingent on winter works funding and Ontario Hydro approval by April 30. The project may be filed for later consideration.

Oakville will bear 43.85 percent of county costs, Burlington 39.64, Georgetown 5.53, Esquesing 3.57, Milton 3.37, Acton 2.52 and Nassagawega 1.49. Valentine Day accidents cause minor damage to four motorists
On Monday two accidents near Acton left four drivers with modest damage. D Ryder of Acton reported rear impact from G Rawding of Eden Mills at 9 10 am in front of Hinton s store injuring neither, with damage about 300 to the Ryder car and 250 to the Rawding vehicle. Rawding faced carelessness charges after saying he fell asleep. Later that afternoon at Mill and John streets David W Galt of Acton and Beverly Bennett of Acton collided while Galt turned left onto John, causing about 250 damage to the Galt car and 100 to Bennett s. The crash occurred opposite Denny s insurance office.

Toronto Lawyer Named Assistant Crown Attorney in Halton
Bruce Martin, 40, a Toronto lawyer formerly with Kennedy and Rassin, has been appointed full time assistant crown attorney to help Halton Crown Attorney P. K. Mc Williams. He will work from Brown Street Court House and expects to live in Milton. Martin, a University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall graduate, is an army veteran married with three children.

Toll Free Calling Hinges On Acton Indication
Milton Council endorsed Bell Telephone Co. plan to extend toll free calls from Milton to Burlington Oakville and Georgetown with service set for November 1967. The council urged Bell officials to include Acton, stating Acton Council must show interest. Including Acton would raise rates by one group but not affect Milton’s current rate change from group four to eight.
