Wilfully Destroyed Street Lamps Fined in Court
Two youths, aged 17 and 15, damaged street lamps in Acton. Edward Peckins and Neon Roth Hepburn pleaded guilty in Bill Varad Police Court and were fined 320 and costs each, totaling over 4 dollars in penalties. Acton Wildcats defeated Hillsburg 5 to 3 in a Millburg home game last night. Sam Clarkes opened with MecKinson scoring before Harlhson and Stewart tied it. Marding’s goal put Hillsburg ahead 5 to 2 before period two closed. Stewart Townsley and Larose boosted Acton’s offense as the Wildcats pulled away to win. The lineup included MecWusit Kob'nian and Town aley with Masters, Stewart, Beaumont and Coles among others. Hillsburg beat Acton 1 to 0 previously Monday.

New officers named for 1944 include Past President H Boulton President T G Jones and Secretary treasurer D Richardson. Treasurer's report shows receipts 30.73 expenditures 2686 and balance on hand 11 89.
