Fergus hockey fans escape after guard rail crash in Acton
Edwin Wilson drivers and passengers George Howitt and Jas M Henderson from Fergus survived a crash on the Toronto Guelph highway near Crewsons Corners. Their car struck and toppled 16 guard rail posts and hung suspended over a ditch before stopping. Traffic Officer Culp investigated and the damaged posts have been replaced.

The Acton School Board met in regular session with Trustees Rumley Blow Boyd Oakes and Dills and President Buchanan. They thanked the Gideons for Bibles, planned use of the Y M C A gym, and discussed a South America lecture and later Music Festival entries. Agriculture taught in Grades 7–8 was approved. Maintenance items for library roof wainscoting and wave troughs were assigned to the Property Committee. Finance approved several accounts totaling 1150.48 and a duplicating machine demonstration was allowed with no purchase.
