Christmas Round the World Play At Knox Church
Knox Sunday School staged a Christmas concert titled Christmas Round the World. Canadian boys and girls portrayed Holland Norway Germany Japan and Bethlehem showing how different nations celebrate Christmas. About fifty scholars participated under Alfis Francis Wurst, with the Sunday School Orchestra and young pupils reciting. Santa Claus visited after the program.

Died in his 98th year Alex McMillan passed away December 1 in Stonewall Manitoba. Born in Erin Township he moved west sixty years ago to the Stonewall district and farmed until 1905 before retiring to Stonewall. He is survived by one son seven daughters sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Oakville Bridge Opens On Four Lane Toronto Hamilton Route
Minister T B McQuesten opened the Middle Road bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek near Oakville. The $250000 project links the Tor onto Hamilton highway with four lanes. Attendants included local MPs officials and Vernon Construction who built the span. One worker died during construction but the deck now sits 60 feet above the creek.

Milton man found dead at table on Christmas night
Samuel Heatherington of Milton Weights was found dead at his dining table on Christmas night. Warry Wilson reported discovering him asleep at about 3:00 PM, and again at 6:20 PM, with doctors saying the death followed a stroke while preparing dinner. No inquest planned. he leaves a nephew and daughter.

Injured Toronto Trip Hits Storey Glove Chief
Friends learn H T Arnold head of Storey Glove Company was struck by a bicycle in Toronto while waiting for a bus. He suffered a fractured thigh and was taken home for treatment before hospital care. He remains active at forty and had been en route to the Acton plant when the accident happened.

Home Destroyed by Fire in Kilbride
A house owned by Mrs. John Lillitrop in Kilbride was burned Tuesday with unknown origin. Occupants Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hinc kenay and their son James were away in Hamilton when smoke was detected. James said smoke was noticed repeatedly before the fire, which was already out of control when Milton firemen arrived. Damages were estimated at 62,000.
