Terra Cotta Road Plan Shelved by Peel County Council
The Terra Cotta village roads plan was shelved by Peel County council after a petition signed by over 300 residents and visitors. County engineer Bob Knight said no formal road plan exists and only a survey of conditions is underway, with the east-side bridge replacement planned but not yet executed. The old Forge building and adjoining land near Terra Cotta were purchased for 35000 dollars from sculptor Rebecca Sider, who has moved out. If improvements cannot meet minimum standards, the road may revert to local control.
