Halton County Council heard a report on the proposed amalgamation of Halton and Peel Boards of Health with little support from members. A. Ledwith warned costs would rise without merger as Ontario reshapes grants for economic units. Reeve H. Hinton urged caution and a possible standalone Halton region.
