Acton Y's Men's Club hosted delegates from Brantford Owen Sound Guelph and two Kitchener clubs at the Spring Conference of the Central Ontario district over a weekend. About 75 Y's Men attended with dinner speaker Douglas Beattie Simpsons-Sears on Christianity in Business.

Stratford, Hillsburgh, and Kitchener trailed, and Clarence Heid will accept the award in Montreal at the BYPU convention. Provincial police cruiser and an oil truck collided just east of Acton on Highway 7 causing about 1000 in damage. The cruiser driven by Cons Everton Penrose Guelph carried Corp W Hodgins who was slightly injured. Thompson's Farm Service truck driven by Pat Patterson was entering the highway.

Philip McCristall northbound swerved to pass then struck Hilborn s car. Iva Huffman southbound swerved into the ditch to avoid collision.

The Acton Junior Farmers and Junior Institute held a joint meeting at Herb Spitzer’s home on April 8. The boys discussed beef cattle breeds and heard Maurice Baker of Scottsdale Farms Georgetwon speak on care and management. Mrs. C F Storey spoke on the Milky Way for the girls. Leadership Course For Area At Knox Church Acton
About 40 members from Presbyter an Young Peoples groups in the Guelph area attended a two day leadership training course at Knox Presbyterian church Acton. More than 100 boys attended the Acton Minor Sports Association bun feed at Yo last Thursday to celebrate another successful minor hockey season. Dr Sirrs of Newtonbrook received a service brochure and thanks from Mike Coxe and the association for his contributions to Acton sports. Bob Coxe won the most valuable player trophy, with Bob Wahiman as runner up. Reg Black and Wahiman led the junior division champions. Wilf Duval and Bal Coon accepted the senior division trophy. Reverend E Currey closed with slides for the boys.
