Four Acton singers performed with a massed choir under Dr Leslie Bell at Eaton Auditorium Toronto. Caroline Oakes Shirley Thompson Yvonne Brun cue and Ken Mann joined students from across Ontario for a vocal and instrumental concert during Easter week at the Ontario College of Education convention.

Continue Stacking Halton Streams For Restockings
Dudley Hitchccox, Halton county game warden, said a continuing restocking program will boost fishing. Over 6,000 trout yearlings from government hatcheries will be released in county streams over the next 10 days. Stocking targets include Black Creek Acton 800 speckled and 1,500 brown. Sixteen Mile Creek Milton 3,000 speckled and 1,500 yearlings. Credit River south of Georgetown 1,000 speckled.

No Serious Injury In Fall From Bus
Mrs. T. O'Rourke escaped serious harm after falling from a Gray Coach bus near Mill Street and Hargrave's Service Station en route to London. The door opened as the bus rounded the corner. she rolled clear to avoid following traffic. Driver Austin B. Mills of Richmond Hill reported the incident. she had recently recovered from a sprained arm.

Salvage Yard License Discussed at City Council
At the regular council meeting on Tuesday evening officials will consider Sam Hoffman’s application for a salvage yard license on Mill St west, in a former mill property. The proposal faces a protest from 27 ratepayers who argue the yard could become a nuisance as it develops.

Nicholas Glasse of Acton was slugged on Main Street near Lorne Garner Motors after midnight Saturday, receiving a fractured skull and cuts. He was robbed of $100 as two assailants fled. police report they are still at large after Glasse was found dazed with a bloodied face.
