The Rockwood district Red Cross celebrated a fine six year record at a meeting at Mrs. T Wingrove's home. They shipped 3420 sewing articles 277 quilts and blankets 4532 knitted items and remitted 3803.27 for materials. Gifts of knitted garments cigarettes chocolates and 800 for overseas personnel were sent along with 50 for soldiers comforts. Funds to headquarters totaled 5419.00. Key organizers were Mrs J Cordier Mrs G Wingate Mrs T Wingrove Mrs J Henderson Mrs F Day and Mr J Little with officers led by president Mrs S Dier and secretary Mrs M G Barry.
