Coroner Jury Links Tree Proximity to Fatal Esquesing Crash
A five man coroner jury ruled that slippery road conditions and a tree near the highway caused the December 31 death of 18 year old Robert Blyth near Esquesing. The inquest heard it was windy with slick spots, and the tree stood five feet four inches from the pavement. The jury urged cutting the tree to prevent future accidents as traffic flowed through town on Easter Sunday.
