The Acton Figure Skating Club held its inaugural carnival on Saturday night at the arena drawing about 300 with 50 club members, district skaters, and an array of juniors and seniors in themed acts Space Escapades and various solo routines. The event showcased costumes, special effects, a mock rugby game on ice, and featured performances by skaters from Guelph London and nearby towns under the direction of Jim Casburn and Kerry Leitch.
