Maynard News Roundup of Local Visits and Furloughs

Maynard residents and relatives are highlighted in a long list of weekend visits and furloughs. Local service members from Co. I return from Westfield and other camps, while townsfolk travel to Worcester, Quincy, and Hartford for fairs and holidays.

First Fall Meeting of WGs 3 U Held at President’s Home

The first fall meeting of the WGs 3 U was held at Mrs. Rolfe’s home last Tuesday afternoon. Candidates were chosen to attend the Watertown convention on the 26th. They discussed buying a house in Ayer for soldiers’ use, with the Concord order already contributing $50. The gathering was described as very pleasant.
