Captain Vanucie Injured in South Aberdeen Fire Run

Farmers Day Next Saturday Plans in Chehalis County

The Chehalis county farmers will host Aberdeen next Saturday inviting all county farmers to a lecture by C. L. Smith of the Oregon Washington Railway & Navigation Co. The event aims to unite farmers and city merchants to press county commissioners for a farm expert and to foster cooperation across industries. A free banquet for 200 to 300 guests is set for 12:30 at the Electric building. The joint committees meet at 11:45 at the Aberdeen Chamber to organize a county central body.

Naval Militia to Be Mustered in Soon

Aberdeen prepares to muster 85 youths into the new naval militia division. Exams cover mental and physical fitness, with four commissioned officers to be named. Adjutant General Llewellyn will muster the unit on May 14 in Bremerton, led by E A McKenna who is expected to command and who served in the Spanish War.

The Simpson Logging Co sues Chehalis county over timber land tonnage in 217 saying overvaluation and unfair cruises. Judge Clifford denies a motion to redo the land cruise as witnesses testify to eight sections and three cruises. Husband Desertion Charge Filed Against David LaChance

David LaChance, recently arrived from Michigan, is jailed in Aberdeen on wife desertion charges at the request of Michigan authorities. An officer left Michigan to bring him back for legal action.
