A Friday Hoquiam meeting of Lorraine Copper Mining Co directors notes a $550 payroll for the month and plans to ship ore to the Tacoma smelter starting in July at two cars weekly. High grade ore assays reach hundreds of dollars per ton, with mining and reduction costs around 20 per ton. The firm aims to raise funds by selling stock to build a mine smelter. J A Sells of Aberdeen is secretary.
