The council elected Rev C McDermoth as chair and discussed Fourth of July parade participation. They adopted street and sidewalk upgrades on Hoquiam road, approved Fifth street construction in Bay View, and directed resolutions on F and G streets north of Heron. Auctioneer licenses were debated, a $100 per year pawn broker fee was proposed, and bids for 1000 cords of wood for the water works were opened with J B Haynes awarded the contract. Auctioneer Wolf moved to Shelley's drug store on Heron street.
