W C Mumaw president of the Hoquiam Chamber of Commerce told the Commercial club that a well established university may be secured for Grays Harbor. He said an endowment of about 100000 dollars and a suitable site would be needed. Harbor business leaders expect the requirements can be met as the school seeks 250000 dollars in endowment with subscriptions exceeding 100000 dollars and plans to move to a larger site. The proposal calls for cooperation between Hoquiam and Grays Harbor business groups.

Konsta Tuomala a 60 year old Finland native employed in the Klondike saloon died suddenly Wednesday morning in the saloon. He was in usual health moments before his demise, complained of illness and died within five minutes before a physician arrived. His funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Whiteside parlors.

Marine Captain Dies After Motorcycle Crash
Captain A C Johnson formerly of the tug Forester was thrown from a motorcycle at Crambroke BC Monday and died Tuesday from injuries. Mrs Johnson will join the body in Aberdeen this afternoon. He was 28, lived on Grays Harbor since boyhood, and was known in marine circles. Survived by his widow, his father Isaac Johnson of Bellingham, and three brothers J A Johnson of Aberdeen, E A Johnson and A A Johnson of Crambroke.
