Call for Democratic County Convention in Chehalis County

The Democratic County Convention is called to meet at Elma on Saturday September 13 1902 at 11 o clock a m to elect fourteen delegates to the State Convention to be held at Tacoma September 16 1902 and nominate a full legislative and county ticket. Representation is by one delegate at large per precinct and one for every ten votes for N G Blalock at the 1900 general election. Mass caucuses urged September 6 at 2 o clock to elect delegates. H M Sutton chairman with F L Carr secretary.

Clam Cannery Plan Faces Funding Hurdles at Aberdeen

Astoria businessman Mr. Hafferty proposes a clam cannery at the old Aberdeen site to tap Gray Harbor’s harvest. Hoquiam and South Bend offer larger incentives, delaying Aberdeen’s progress. About $300 already subscribed, with more expected if local support grows. the solicitor works pro bono to rally funding and address objections.

Trustee seeks foreclosure on logs as lien for work on Wishkah stream

H A Hayes as trustee for Dan Mc Closkey sues to foreclose a lien on logs owned by Green and McHugh H A Kalb H B Waldron and Wishkah Boom Co. Hayes alleges driving the river produced fourteen million feet of logs at a cost of 5000 and asks the court to direct sale of the logs to cover 5000 attorney fees and 5 costs. Vidette.
