Four Harbor waitresses attack man with horsewhips in Hoquiam

Fatal boiler explosion kills Clyde Briscoe near Rochester
Montesano July 31 Clyde Briscoe of this city was instantaneously killed by a boiler explosion at the Riscoe logging camp near Rochester this afternoon. He was 25 to 30, married, and aided his father B P Briscoe in a Rochester area logging venture. The boiler was old and recently purchased second-hand with plans to replace it soon.

Fatal crane accident claims life of local teamster
Carl Kroeger a dock worker at South Aberdeen was struck by a crane on Monday and died Tuesday at Aberdeen General hospital from his injuries. His funeral was held yesterday at Whiteside chapel with Rev E Burton officiating. Kroeger leaves a widow and four children who are poorly provided for.
