Will Abbotsford Face Power Shortage If Contract Lapses
The Abbotsford lighting contract ends on the 10th of this month raising fear of darkness unless renewed or the W C P Company continues lighting. A bill passed in Parliament allows unincorporated districts to self assess for town lighting, already in use in Mission City. The Board of Trade should appoint a secretary and three commissioners to value town jets, project costs, and levy a property-based rate to fund lighting.
