Dr Meyer Gerhard sails to Copenhagen aboard United States
In New York on June 4 it was learned that Dr Meyer Gerhard, reportedly the special agent Bernstorff will send to Berlin, sailed yesterday on the United States to Copenhagen. His cabin was booked by wireless under two hours before sailing and he reached the pier minutes before departure. He carried seals of Britain Russia and France guaranteeing protection from Allied warships and other papers from American German and Austrian authorities. He is chief Privy Councillor of the German Empire and has represented the German Red Cross in America since the war began.

Zeppelin Destroyed by Canadian Aviator in Belgium
A German Zeppelin with 28 crew was destroyed by a monoplane piloted by R A J Wardeford on probation as a Royal Navy sub lieutenant. Wardeford dropped six bombs from 6000 feet, setting the airship ablaze and causing it to crash near Ghent. The dirigible crew and several orphanage inmates died.
