Engineer Dies As Train Runs Away Near Suffolk Va

Corporal Erwin Graham Laid To Rest In Yorkville
Funeral services for Corporal Erwin C. Graham of Company G 118th Infantry 30th Division were held at First Baptist Church Yorkville with American Legion honors. The procession included Meech Stewart Post members and Fort Mill soldiers, followed by a graveside committal at Rose Hill cemetery. Graham died October 6 1918 in France from a shell while serving on recon duty near the front.

Roebuck Physician Arrested on Mann Act Charge
Dr. J. F. Williams of Roebuck in Spartanburg County was arrested on a Mann Act violation charge. The warrant was issued by the husband of a woman Williams is said to have taken to North Carolina for immoral purposes.
