Local items report a November 19 snow in Ymir and a low provincial election turnout with 63 votes cast versus 103 last year. It notes resignations, a post office move, a hospital death, hotel purchase, and the new ballot handling changes in federal elections with concerns about vote secrecy.
Election returns show Ross Liberal leading Barrell Conservative and Mills Socialist with 1500, 1437, and 402 votes respectively. Several small outlying areas remain to report, but expected results suggest no change to the lead. In both ridings the Socialist candidate loses his deposit.
