FP J Lennard Jr chairman of the High School Committee appeals to county voters to fund a county high school. He argues it keeps education local, reduces outside tuition, boosts population, and consolidates facilities under county control with a two year board term. He urges a YES vote.
The Yerington Oil and Gas Co reports resumed drilling after sand setbacks. Casing is set and sand is shut off, with the hole down over 200 feet. Eighteen men work on location efforts as visitors monitor operations. field may be named Oil Basin.
