Dr and Mrs Edwards returned from Reno Sunday after a few days away. Mr H J Long of Fallon handled business in town. Mrs W A Day traveled to Reno to visit Mrs Laura Deering for a few days. Mr M D Parish visited Mason this past week. A needlework exhibition by Mason school pupils, under Miss Leah Barker, was held Saturday afternoon in the schoolhouse. Articles for kitchen and home were shown. the event drew many parents and visitors. The pupils served refreshments. the afternoon was enjoyable.

Pentecost Celebration Dinners By Azorean Community
The Azorean community observes Pentecost with a yearly dinner honoring a legendary Portuguese queen who allegedly funded famine relief. Mason Valley Brothers of Pentecost held one of the season’s largest dances, with a four piece band and midnight refreshments. Mass at St. Joseph's Church followed by a procession to Rink Hall for Sunday dinner, serving over a thousand. A freezer of ice cream intended for the poor farm was looted during the event.
