The Farmers' Mortgage Loan Company of Reno forms with Governor E D Boyle as president and plans 10 to 12 year loans for farmers. Capitalization targets 500000 with about 125000 subscribed. Dyer Buys Store Stock and Expands Local Business
On Monday R Dyer visited Yerington and purchased the Hall and Morgan stock from the San Francisco Board of Trade. He installed former bookkeeper Jack Dickey at the old Hall and Morgan stand, left for San Francisco Tuesday for the Exposition, and plans to operate from the Riverside Hotel property. Part of the stock may be moved to Schurz.

Piute lands are being farmed with alfalfa and new irrigation brings allotments under water. A storage reservoir is planned to ease late summer drought. About 50 horses were issued to Indians under a repayment plan. Nevada Progressive Gold Mining Co officials Woodbridge and Parr reported progress, noting 1,000 acres owned, two mining shafts with ore values from $10 to $150 per ton, and plans to continue sinking and cross cutting to increase tonnage.

Younger Set Entertains Guests With Dance At Nevada Street
