Price is 12000 dollars with substantial cash already paid. R J Chapman of Lead, a mining engineer, plans a 1500 foot tunnel to prospect the property. He came to Nevada in 1868, worked as a blacksmith, ran a shop by the Carson River, and for over forty years was a familiar figure in the county. Funeral services were held at Dayton and interment was in the hill cemetery, with many locals attending to honor his memory.
