Ricketts as Vice President E R Harroun as Secretary E M Steininger as Treasurer and W W Booth George A Montrose and L N Clark as an Executive Committee They protested the appointment of Bertie McIntosh as U S District Attorney for Nevada and set the next meeting for Tonopah in August.
George Reading of Reading Mercantile and Transportation Company J Sullivan of the Nevada Copper Belt road and others studied the East Walker route to Aurora this week The group reports being favorably impressed with the line If adopted for Aurora and Bodie freight the railroad would unload at Wilson station at canyon foot and truck freight over the old road to the southern camps with potential to upgrade the road at low cost
Heavy snow in the Granite section has halted ore hauling from the Yerington Mountain copper property to the railroad for shipment to the smelter. The road canyon will need repairs if the storm continues for weeks, and wagon roads out of Laming to copper properties are also in bad condition, preventing ore from reaching the smelter.
Mrs Cora May White of the place was a guest of the Mason Valley Promotion Club at its Mason banquet last Saturday night. She spoke in response to the toast Succe Dr and Mrs Leavitt and Judson Smith attended the event. The Times editor thanks the club for the invitation and would have attended if not missed a ride to Mason.
The district faces a winter with no natural ice, affecting the Yerington Creamery Company most as other users can rely on the Coddington ice plant. Consideration is given to installing a small on site ice plant at the creamery to cut costs after initial setup, matching up-to-date dairy production needs and boosting butter quality and output.

Bridge repairs across the river at the city’s northwestern end are finished. Rock and gravel for the eastern approach are being hauled and will wrap up in three to four days making the span ready for traffic. The bridge will ease travel for residents of the lower valley to Yerington. County and city leaders are urged to improve the road from the bridge to the city, seen as good business.
