County Commissioners Meet Approve Budget and Road Plans
The Lyon County Commissioners held their monthly session consulting King Wederts and Bertrand. They withdrew two road petitions after a site visit to Plummer Mint and heard State Highway Engineer Cottrell discuss the routing south of Yerington. Budget for state and county purposes set near 198000 with a slight tax rise. plans for a pest house and a county poor farm were advanced.

Nevada Public Service Commission to review railroad schedule
The Nevada Public Service Commission will hear a petition from Mineral and Lyon Counties towns for daylight service on the Southern Pacific line via Mina on February 20 1920 at 10 30 a m in Carson City. The notice cites 395 signers seeking train 23 restored to prior hours and train 24 arriving Mina after 7 am and no later than midnight.

Two City Wells Near Completion in Yerington
Drilling of new city wells progresses with the first well completed at 136 feet yielding a fine flow. The second well is nearly finished and will reach about 180 feet with a gravel stratum expected to yield abundant water. Operators plan three to four wells and a new pump to supply the town for years.
Yerington Seeks Modern Aviation Field and Air Service
Local leaders including Senator Penrose and Mayor Gelder visited Yerington to select an aviation field for airplane landings. A De Haviland 425 horsepower plane is ordered for delivery this month, with plans to level and gravel the site to government specs for passenger air service and mail handling.
