Prom inent Tonopah resident Alex T McKenzie reportedly killed himself by leaping 1200 feet down the Buckeye Bel mont Mine shaft. His body was found after a period of despondency following an indictment for murder in the James Cusick case. Liberty Bonds and papers were left with a note to his son.
