Scientist challenges Cook pole claim with 316 mile discrepancy
A.D. Stockwell argues Cook's data fail to align with astronomical tests for the North Pole, calculating that on April 7 Cook would be about 316 miles farther from the pole than claimed, based on latitudes, solar declination, and midnight sun observations. The paper assumes April 7 as the first midnight sun date.
