Young Toppenish Rider Dies After Horse Accident
Arnold Lambert aged 13, son of C Lambert of Toppenish, died at St Elizabeths hospital Monday evening from injuries after being thrown from a horse about four weeks earlier. He sustained a broken arm, later blood poisoning caused his death after he was brought to the city for treatment.

Bribery Indictments Challenged Over Grand Jury Validity
In San Francisco on June 25 the defense urged that all acts by the current grand jury since January are invalid because the jury ceased to exist when the 1907 list was certified. The Oliver grand jury, though not discharged, continued under belief it could operate for 12 months. Judge Lawler noted indictments would be invalid if the grand jury had no legal existence.

Body of Mabton Sailor Is Found
The body of Seaman Frank B. Plumer of Mabton Washington was found and reported to the navy department. He was among eleven sailors who drowned when the Minnesota's launch disaster occurred during the night of Monday June 10. Edna Kitchen of Mabton is his mother and Plumer was well known locally.

Deputy State Dairy and Food Inspector Will H. Adams visited Selah valley and condemned three dairies for filthy cream handling. All parties pledged changes to guarantee clean cream. In Moxee valley similar issues found but not serious. Columbia Meat and Moran-Segel slaughterhouses assessed as first class. Moran-Segel called the most modern in the northwest. C. H.
