New Town Alfalfa Planned Near Yakima River
Walter N Granger of Sunnyside Canal said in the city that Alfalfa will soon have a ready site and lots for sale. The town sits on the Yakima river near Snipes mountain with a potential park, river boating, and a bridge to the railway. Granger notes drainage, shading trees, and diversified business as key, with cheap lots and a N P branch to attract settlers. In Roslyn a man named Joseph Hughes was convicted of second degree murder for fatally shooting Robert Patterson in a disorderly house.
