Probe on state coal prices sparks legislative inquiry

Evanston Foreman Killed Walking Track Near Knight

Evanston Wyoming January 24 Dennis Hogan foreman for Hysell Construction sub contractors on Union Pacific work near Evanston was instantly killed Thursday at about 150 when struck by passenger train No 67 He was walking on the track two miles east of Knight and is believed not to have heard the approaching train which curved before impact His back was broken and he died instantly The Carnegie Library will close one hour Tuesday from 2 to 8 in honor of the late Robert Morris.

Taken to Evanston Insane Hospital

Dan Hiner, a homesteader about eleven miles northwest of the city, was taken to the state hospital for the insane at Evanston today. He was brought to Cheyenne by Sheriff Carroll after his wife and neighbors reported strange behavior. He was said to have been an Evanston patient before but was released after recovery.

Accountant backs up Abadie tale at congressional hearing

New York January 24. Per ley Morse accountant whose firm audited the ledger testified before congress during a shipping board investigation. He described discovering a $260000 voucher intended to cover Charles M Schwab expenses in October 1918 and said he told Abadie of the voucher and other related vouchers.
