An elderly farmer Abraham Harshey of Westfield Lancaster County Pennsylvania died about three weeks ago. After his death a large sum of specie and other wealth was found stored in his house including $98 884.41 in gold and over $24 000 in silver. He lived alone in a farm house with a hidden iron chest containing part of the wealth along with bonds and mortgages on 156 acres. Days after his death an additional deposit was discovered in the house, this time in an old blanket containing about $1 400.
