Fire destroys Northern Electric depot at Oroville
An early morning fire totally destroyed the Northern Electric Depot in Oroville including offices waiting room and freight house. The origin is unknown and freight and cars were largely lost with value undetermined. Crews from Sacramento worked to restore service as trains from Oroville to Tres Vias and connections to Woodland Chico were disrupted.
