The Rev T H B Anderson pastor of the Salinas M E Church South died Sunday at his Salinas home. A California pioneer minister aged 72 he came to the state as a boy and was known statewide. He led camp meetings at Woodland and once pastored in Sacramento. Survived by wife three daughters and a son.

Expert Safholm Testifies on County Books Export Claim
Expert L. H. Safholm told the board of supervisors he seeks allowance of most of his 80 unpaid claim for exporting county books. He admitted issuing a pamphlet copy before Judge Hawkins accepted the report, and that the foreword and signatures were not authorized. He said grand jury instructions guided his investigation and that some language used was unfortunate though the recommendations were his own.

Robert E. Barnes also known as Kinkle is ordered by Recorder Rehake to spend thirty days in the county jail. He returned from Sacramento intoxicated and fought near the post office. night watchman Clary took him to the city jail after promising to appear in court. Around midnight he caused a disturbance on College Street and was jailed by the officer who found him drunk.
