The funeral for B George Millar 36 prominent Sewaren contractor was held from his home 589 West avenue Sewaren. He died Monday night when his car was struck by a westbound train at the Walnut avenue crossing around 1010 PM. He leaves a wife Virginia and had been on a business trip in Cranford. Millar was an architect and contractor active in Sewaren Woodbridge Rotary Colonia C C Sewaren Land and Water Club and other civic groups. His body was moved to Woodbridge for burial his family noted his contributions to local residences and community service.

Waltonianson and colleagues set two week fishing trip near Ottawa

Waltonianson Trip Lakes William Gordon of Menlo Park and K Holfman editor of Woodbridge Leader depart for a two weeks fishing excursion near Ottawa Ontario. Contracts Awarded for Barron Avenue High School Addition

The Board awarded the Barron Avenue High School addition contract to Michael Riezss for 11490. Heating and ventilating went to O and Dunigan for 4170 and 198 respectively. Other bids listed include August Suatrinmen 19051 and several firms with lower sums. The board will seek bids for Hope Lawn School addition at the next regular meeting.

Three Men Hold Up Blue Bird Lodge Proprietor in Avenel

Jolns Shabloski proprietor of the Blue Bird on St George avenue Avenel reported three masked armed men staged a careful morning robbery.
