Arthur Kubnak of 188 Gordon street Perth Amboy was robbed by two hold‑up men while parked on Giff road near Sewaren Motor Boat Club Sunday evening. His wallet had only a driver’s license and registration card. the robbers removed the distributor cap and wires from the spark plugs to avoid pursuit. They were described as about five feet six inches, wearing dark suits and grouch hats, carrying guns, and fled in their own car.
Frank Holsey, 22, a laborer from King George's Road, faced Judge B W Vogel on a non support charge after his wife Edley said he deserted her and their five month old baby six weeks earlier. Edley claimed lack of funds and Holsey retaliated with insulting language in court.
A fire at the Fords Gun Club cottage on Kin George's Road early Thursday destroyed the building and equipment valued about 8500 dollars with partial insurance. The blaze started around 1 44 AM and took three hours to control. Household items including clay birds traps guns ammo decoys were lost and a club meeting is planned at the Fords firehouse to discuss future plans.

John Remake of Sewaren reported chickens chased from their coop Sunday by an intruder. Joseph Kozlik of 827 Ohio Avenue Trenton, found in the coop with minimal clothing, was arrested and jailed overnight. He was fined five dollars and costs by Judge B W Vogel for a disorderly conduct charge.
Catholic D A Court hosted a successful evening at Columbian Hall with prize cards in multiple games. Miss Helen Campion led Whist. numerous guests attended the social hour led by Miss Margaret Sullivan and Miss Ethel Gyson.
A successful Wednesday evening card party at Adath Israel synagogue raised funds for a needy family. Door prizes went to Mrs A Grodensky and CO Corey of Rahway. Winners spanned Bridge Pinochle Fan Tan and Whist with many participants listed including Mrs Lottie Schoenberg Sidney Leshen and Mrs Samuel Vogel. Refreshments were served. Mrs L Friedman chaired arrangements.

In a Recorder Court session, Mrs Mary Sobchuk and Mrs Anna Kaminsky both of Florida Grove Road faced charges for insulting language toward Mrs Anna Kautinsky. Judge Vogel placed a suspended sentence after warning the defendants to refrain from repetition. last week’s arrest was said to be over.

Berth Nemo of 27 Edwin Street Carteret had his car stripped of license plate spare tire tools and distributor cap after parking near the State Theatre following a show. The car was found later by Constable Farkas on Strawberry Hill.
