Seven Injured In Head On Collision On New Highway
Seven people were injured in a head on crash on the new superhighway near Avenue at 10 o clock Sunday morning. Mitchell Hynston of 324 Taylor Road North West Washington is the most seriously hurt with a skull fracture. Other injured include Cherd Puthnam 60 driver of one car of Inwood Avenue Mont it fractured right wrist and head injuries Mrs W C J Mahon 65 Dunham’s mother boy severe head cuts and facial lacerations Miss Alice Comb 24 of 4316 Georgia Avenue NW Washington DC left side head injury facial cuts Florence Dunham wife of Clifford Dunham and Mont Blanc Conib sister to Alice and John Quire driver of Flather car taken to hospital then to Woodbridge police for further care McGuire held on $1000 bond for March 9 appearance. Accident report says Dunham drove on and McGuire approached from the opposite direction colliding as both tried to enter the middle lane. Injured were rushed to hospitals by police ambulance and private cars. Both cars were badly damaged and towed away.

Anconccident on the superhighway near Lafayette at 9 16 am led to a stolen car and suspect Thomas Walker, 10 known address, being taken to Perth Amboy City Hospital. Walker admitted to stealing the roadster, a Hudson County car, as Hoboken police pursue warrants once he is discharged. The other driver, Samuel Bilt of 71 East List Street Brooklyn, was injured.
