An eight o clock accident at the Green Street crossing narrowly avoided disaster when a car driven by Arthur E B Koyen 26 of Woodbridge skidded near the tower. His companion Whitman Campbell 21 jumped free as a west bound local train approached halted by conductor A Ejeh and patrolman Fred Leidner. George Hodover was in charge of the gates during the incident.
