Mrs Cyrus Johnson Dies in Great Falls
Friends mourn the death of Mrs Cyrus Johnson who passed away Saturday evening in Great Falls after a period of illness. The Rev Ward F Boyd officiated at the service and burial was in Highland cemetery. Surviving are her husband and two daughters Mrs George Bradford of Bainville and Eleanor Johnson of Great Falls. The Johnsons had long lived in Wolf Point and she remained active in work despite years of poor health.

Joe Heser House Fire Destroys Home on Saturday
Mr and Mrs Joe Heser of the Southside lost their house to fire last Saturday noon. A stove fire in the kitchen ignited while Mrs Heser tended dinner for threshers. Little contents survived and clothing for relatives was ruined. They are staying with Tony Heser.

Walter Nordwick was granted a divorce from Margaret Nordwick. Frye & Co obtained a default judgment against Harry and Margaret Martin totaling 365.43 with costs. A demurrer in Richard Schaale versus George Kugler was taken under advisement. Todd Shamley v Roosevelt County was continued due to judge disqualification and a legal holiday pushed next law and motion day to Thursday October 13.

Duck Season Opens With Prairie Bird Rally
Duck hunting starts at noon October 1 and ends 20 minutes before sunset on November X0. Fine weather and a prior prairie chicken season boost hunters, but Ruddy or Bufflehead ducks are prohibited. Chinese pheasants and Hungarian partridges run from October 30 to November 2.

Badly Injured in Threshing Accident Near Circle
Earl Barker of Circle was brought to Wolf Point on Wednesday afternoon with severe injuries after stepping into a threshing rig belt. He suffered two forearm bone fractures and a jaw broken in two places, plus deep scratches and bruises. Barker, nephew of George W. Hall, is staying at the Hall place and is being cared for at Mrs. Archie Steele's.

Jeff Nail Scratched In Runaway Accident
Jeff Nail of the Southside was thrown from a running team of horses last week after losing control. He suffered scratches and bruises with no bones broken. Lynn Olson, accompanying him, escaped with minor injuries. Bert Switzer broke his arm while cranking his car.

John J. Beller Dies in Accident in Sunnyside Southside
John J. Beller of Sunnyside Southside died at 1 55 am Tuesday after a serious accident last week when he fell from a load of fodder causing paralysis. The funeral held at the Beller home was conducted by Rev B G Kleldon. Burial followed in Avon Dakota. Born May 2 1873 at Barbara Wise he married Birvira Berrendt who survives along with three brothers George Albert Ed and two sisters Mrs Emma Franklin and Mrs Anna Ranadell.
